Our Club organises and coordinates various functions for the benefit and enjoyment of members and friends.

Elderly Citizens Thursday Gathering

Our Club has provided the Club facility to the local Greek Elderly Citizens Group which meets every Thursday lunch for a social gathering enjoying coffee, tea, cakes and wine.  The gathering is well patronized by the Greek elderly citizens of between 80-120.  Our Club is very proud of providing the clubrooms for a place of meeting for the Greek elderly to discuss their past achievements.  Once a month the Elderly Citizens Group provide a free luncheon with wine and beer at our Club.

A program of events and functions for the year are set out as follows:

January Picnic (Australian Day Long Weekend)

Every year a picnic is held on the Australia Day long weekend with members converging on a different outdoor destination for a day out together with plenty of eating, drinking and dancing.  Busses are also arranged so as members can drink and celebrate the start of the year.  This event is held with the Panepirotic Union of Melbourne and Victoria.

Mother's Day Ball

A function is held to celebrate Mother's Day at our Club facility.  Mothers and their families are encouraged to get together and celebrate Mothers Day where everyone enjoys a night of music, good food and wine.

Father's Day Ball

A function is held to celebrate Father's Day at our Club facility.  Fathers and their families are encouraged to get together and celebrate Mothers Day where everyone enjoys a night of music, good food and wine.

Annual General Meeting

This is held every year in July or August each year and feature election of new committe members every second year.  All resolutions of previous AGMs can be reviewed and strategic directions for the Club are discussed and agreed.

New Year Ball

The Club celebrates the coming of the new year at our Club facility with members and friends enjoying the new year with music, fine food and beer, wine and champagne.  Needless to say this event is well patronized and tickets are required to be purchased in advance.

On the second Sunday in December,  Pittes are celebrated with the Panepirotic Union and all profits are donated to selected worthy causes.

Epirotan Festival

Our Club holds these events with the Panepirotic Union of Melbourne and Victoria.

The Epirotan Festival is an annual event.  It is a program of cultural activities commemorating the liberation of Epirus from Ottoman rule and its annexure to Greece.

The aim of this program is to expose our Epirotan Culture in Melbourne using the Festival as our cultural voice.

To help celebrate this important cultural event, Dodoni and Panepirotic Union organises an annual program of events that span over two weeks in February.  To commemorate the lives lost by those who helped liberate Epirus from Ottoman rule, a Church Service is held, followed by a Cocktail Party at the Club facility.

Also the "Annual Ball" is held whereby members get together and celebrate with live music, dancing, good food and happy times.
